St. Nikolaus cell phone

bahaa so last Saturday my purse tipped over at the ice skating rink adn someone found my phone (I didnt even knowI had it with me then) any way..this guy called saying that he had my phone..
so last night we had to drive to another town to pick up my phone.. where i traded my phone for a chocolate St. Nikolaus..hahah

Breakfast JUDO.

So there was a drastic change in the weather.. it's relatively warm and rainy.. so our gigantic snowman is melting.. plus he's a little top heavy..
we have a perfect view of him from the table where we eat
so at breakfast this morning we kept making melting observations.. I decided to take matters into my own hands..
I said wait a minute...Ive got this..
so I slipped on my yellow rain boots... went outside and JUDO chopped our snowman... to put him out of his misery of course..
then I accidentally locked my self out... KARMA.

Christmas PARTY

last night was the Christmas party for my soccer team.. hahahaha that was so amusing... some of the girls hardly ever drink and they just got absolutely hammered!!
I didnt drink.. well my coach gave me some really gross green shot.. from this gigantic bottle of god knows what hahah
any way.. enjoy teh pictures!!
The coaches gave all of us training pants and gloves :)
I made everyone an origami box with their names written on top in calligraphy.. with some treats inside!
I walked home in the rain with Merle...

Ling Zhus last day!!!

Today was Ling Zhus (My Chinese friend) last day in German class...
she's flying back to China for a few weeks and coming back in January..
I won't see her again unless I take part II of the German course..
Continue German or.. take Italian?  WHAT DO YOU THINK???

I now understand the whole Europeans don't shave thing.. well girls at least
BECAUSE ITS COLD AND IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR WINTER COAT ON or GROWING (MEANING LEGS, ARM PITTS... and idk what WHERE else) THEN YOU WILL FREEZE YOUR ASS OFF.
then maybe when it's warm they are too lazy to shave it off.
as a conclusion: when in Europe, do as the Europeans do.

Dinner with my Bundestag Representative

Last night I had dinner with Michaela Noll, my Bundestag Representative. She is apart of the CDU here in Germany. I arrived at 6:00pm in Hilden. When I got there.. I noticed that there were all older people. Then i found out it was the press form 3 news papers.. so the first thing we did was take photos, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much!!! ahhhh..
then I sat there with another exchange student from my program who I had never met before and they interrogated us like crazy. It was so nerve racking because they were sitting there grilling us and writing down everything that we were saying. It was fun though to say the least and Michaela Noll is really nice. We started talking about politics and they asked me if it's uncomfortable sometimes when people talk to me about american politics.. adn I said no because I can agree wtih most Germans on American politics. Then we started having a jolly good German time.. just absolutely ripping on Sarah Palin.. and the tea party. We found out 5 minutes later that the kid from Chicago sitting next to me is a conservative Republican and a catholic hahaha... oh god.. it was so funny. We were all absolutely shocked. We were all trying to hard to hold ourselves back from nailing him on everything he was saying.

I ran today for teh first time in one week..
due to the weather I havent been able to run....... and I figured it was okay to run today because things were starting to die down, kind of. Oh how wrong I was. My running path was pure ice and snow. Sometimes you think.. ohh it's normal road.. NO wrong.. it's ICE!!!! tricky..As much fun as it was running through tractor tracks surrounded by snow that was knee high.. I think that I prefer a normal road.. without snow.
A word about German Winters: When it snows or ices for that matter, Germans don't freak out. Nor do they bother to clear the road or sidewalks. Youre lucky to get salt or cat litter. Unlike America, where everyone would be flipping out like the world was ending or something, Germans don't give a shit. I cannot tell you how many times I have busted my ass. Of course, you have to take my clumsiness into account- BUT I have witnessed several other slip and slide incidents. bahah s

This morning I wrote my Spanish exam.. which blew because the text made absolutely no sense...
Im pretty sure everyone else was thinking the same thing haha... any wya
after that I had 45 min of English
I was talking to my Australian friend (she's an assistant teacher kind of thing) and she has some classes wtih the younger grades.. adn she said that yesterday one of the 13 yr old girls BEGGED her to buy her pills because she wants to have sex with her boyfriend on friday... my Australian friend was scarred for life hahahha she said no way!!...
if that's not scary.. then I don't know what is haha

Today is St. Nikolaus..
so last night we all left our boots by the fire place and St. Nikolaus came baring treats.. including candy, cards and a book

is apparently held in Dusseldorf every year.. and I went to the finals today with Peter, Evy, Mila and lucky!!! it was really cool... intense competition!
Before teh finals started there were two guys on stage doing a hacky-sack show.. which was really cool.. they were soccer players
